The MCO has turned me into an anxious blob.
The MCO has turned me into an anxious blob, because I tendered my resignation just before the MCO started and I'll be out of a job soon.
People are also not hiring as actively anymore so that's where the anxiety kicks in. Funnily enough, my current work has really kept me company, and my 6 cats too! Work has kept me distracted from the anxiety while my cats have been a big help in just letting me be an anxious blob and comforting me at home.
I'm also generally a person with limited social battery but being forced to stay inside has really made me crave human connection in real life (other than the faces I see every day at home). Texts just don't feel the same, you know? Wishing the MCO would end soon but I know it's necessary for the safety of myself and others. However, I should allow myself to feel bummed about things being cancelled, etc. because I am human.

When the designation Ketua Rumah came about during the MCO, local media and social media users were quick to laugh about unsuspecting husbands who've never been to grocery stores. But what about young professionals who have had to carry this role even before MCO, what are their struggles?
